How businesses can save on their electric bills

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Business owner and Albany city commissioner B.J. Fletcher has some advice for business owners who want to save on their bills.

She says she cut down her electric bill by $1200 a month at BJs Country Buffet by staggering her lights.

Instead of turning everything on at once, she only turns on lights and ovens when they're needed.

"My bills were running about 7800 dollars a month just at one location, and that's tough. That's almost 8000 dollars and you don't see it. You can see electricity. And I got one this month that was 6200 and was grateful for it," says BJ Fletcher, Owner of Open Roads Smokehouse.

She's also put those practice's in place at her other restaurant Open Roads Smokehouse.
