LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County School Board members pick a new superintendent.
Wednesday, they voted unanimously to name Doctor Jason Miller the only finalist for the job.
Miller spent his last nine years as a principal at Twin Oaks Elementary.
He said he plans to continue the good work of retiring Superintendent Dr. Larry Walters.
"I appreciate the board's trust and confidence and I look forward to working with the wonderful people, Lee County, the wonderful teachers, our staff, the outstanding students and families to keep our tradition of excellence going forward and meet new challenges that are coming down the road," said Dr. Jason Miller, New Superintendent.
He'll review recent standardized test results before considering any major changes.
Board members will take an official vote to hire Miller in two weeks.
