Drugs, gun, and cash found in motel room

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  A convicted felon is behind bars in Thomas county after drug agents found close to $14,000 in cash and drugs in his possession. 

Tommy Francis Jr., 33, is facing multiple drug possession charges. 

Agents got a tip that Francis was selling drugs out of a motel room, and set up surveillance. 

Francis spotted the agents and sped off in his car. 

When he was pulled over, agents found marijuana, spice, and cash in his car. 

They later found a loaded 9 millimeter handgun in his motel room. 

Francis Jr. is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of spice, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a fire arm during the commission of a crime.
