CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Mitchell County law enforcers warn citizens to lock up four wheelers and lawn equipment. A four-wheeler was taken off Gravel Hill Road Monday.
Sheriff's investigators say the owners left the keys in the ignition.
A lawn mower on a trailer was also taken and dumped along highway 112.
Investigators say during the summer they see an increase in these types of thefts.
"They steal four wheelers rangers go carts, is what the children like to steal, and with it being the summer time and grass cutting picking up of course people are stealing the lawn mowers," said Matthew Miller of the Mitchell Co. Sheriff's Office.
They're still investigating the two cases to determine if they're connected.
