ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The family who lives in a quadriplex apartment on Randolph Street called to report a burglary about 12:20 Wednesday morning.
Police responded, but found nothing suspicious.
About 90 minutes later, 911 got a call reporting a fire at the apartment where Nikendera Lovett lives.
AFD responded and quickly extinguished a fire that appears to have started when a flood light ignited vinyl siding on the house.
Now they think that a burglar twisted the light around, and the heat started the siding to burn.
Albany Fire Department Investigator Sam Harris wen to the home to take fingerprints from the light fixture and examine the scene.
