The Carver Community pool was scheduled to open May 18th, but that was delayed due to water main breaks.
The plumbing problems have been fixed, but the pool must pass a health inspection before it opens.
Recreation officials said they will focus heavily on water safety this summer and they encouraged children and adults to sign up for swim lessons.
"We'll be offering them an opportunity to know what to do with the equipment. What equipment to look for anytime they're around any body of water. How to survive, how to keep themselves alive," said Gwen Rhenwrick Coordinator of Therapeutic Programs and Aquatic Activity.
You can sign up for swim lessons at the pool.
Officials hope to open it on June 8th.
