Officers are eating for free with a portion of today's proceeds going to the local chapter of Concern of Police Survivors.
A Former police chief says he learned the hard way how the "cops" foundation can help a family after losing an officer in the line of duty. He says the program helps families with financial needs and resources. Don Cheek says, " It doesn't stop there. They've got scholarship programs for for children and grand children referral programs, counseling programs, peer groups. Just a tremendous support group."
