After recent negative law enforcement publicity, Moes restaurant in Albany showed its support with a law enforcement appreciation day.

Officers are eating for free with a portion of today's proceeds going to the local chapter of Concern of Police Survivors.

A Former police chief says he learned the hard way how the "cops" foundation can help a family after losing an officer in the line of duty. He says the program helps families with financial needs and resources. Don Cheek says, " It doesn't stop there. They've got scholarship programs for for children and grand children referral programs, counseling programs, peer groups. Just a tremendous support group."

T-shirts that say "Cops Rock and Moes Rolls" are on sale for 8 dollars.

Law enforcement appreciation day at moes runs through closing Tuesday June 2nd.
