THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Thomasville man was arrested after police said he tried to pawn stolen lawn mowers.

D'Quinta Hansell, 33, is charged with two counts of theft by taking.

American Pawn shop employees notified police after Hansell stopped by the store twice Friday to pawn two nearly-new lawn mowers.

Early Saturday, officers found Hansell waiting in the shop's parking lot with more items.

“The two push lawn mowers, and bicycle, and weed eater he had Saturday have yet to be reported stolen,” said Lt. Maurice Holmes.

Anyone with missing lawn equipment from the past week should give Thomasville Police a call at 229-227-3249.
