VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

31 year old Cornelius Ezion-Geber remained in the Lowndes County Jail as of Tuesday, charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Ezion-Geber was arrested around 11:30 Monday morning in the woods behind 1608 Charter Oaks Dr.

Police spotted Ezion-Geber while they were in the area looking for someone from a domestic dispute that had just occurred on Baymeadows Dr.

Officers noticed the man repeatedly trying to cover his face and thought he may have been the person from the domestic dispute for whom they were looking, so they approached him.

When they approached him he ran into the woods but was caught a few minutes later. "He had what is suspected to be cocaine in his possession," said Valdosta Police Department Cpt. Bobbi McGraw. "There was multiple small little [one inch by one inch] baggies that was found in his possession."

Ezion-Geber turned out not to be the person police were looking for from the domestic dispute, but Ezion Geber was, as of Tuesday, charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, obstruction, and probation violation.
