ALBANY, GA (WALB) - American Red Cross officials are encouraging you to roll up your sleeve and give blood this summer.
Donations always decline this time of year as regular donors take vacations and schools don't hold blood drives.
Red Cross leaders remind you patients need blood all year... and you can help save someone's life.
"We're asking eligible donors to remember that there are patients in hospitals who do rely on the generosity of volunteer donors so we do ask them to make sometime out their summer schedule to donate blood," said Kristen Stancil.
The American Red Cross Blood Center on Dawson Road in Albany is open on Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
