NEWTON, GA (WALB) - Folks in Baker County are raising money for former Baker County Sheriff Isaac Anderson who needs a kidney transplant.
Tonight people gathered at St. Matthews Church in Newton to show their support and raise funds for Anderson. Organizers say the former sheriff is a good man, who always tried to help others and they want to do something to help him.
"The sheriff is a good man, and he has done so much for the county, and so we feel the need to do something for him, and this is the time," says coordinator John Lilly.
Anderson served Baker County, and other areas for more than 25 years.
