MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Lots of young people were showing off their diving skills at the Moose Moss Aquatic Center in Moultrie.
About 30 divers are competing in the Moose Moss Invitational, which will wrap up tomorrow.
Some families traveled from Florida for the competition.
We spoke with a team from Moultrie who talked about what the sport of diving has taught them.
"Its a lot of fun and it gives me something to do first off, and it really helps. Its a real mental sport because you have to get over fears," says diver Kellian Hawell.
"This meet is more of a fun meet that we all look forward to every year. We all get to compete and show our friends and family what we can do," says diver Parker Hardigree.
In a few weeks about 350 divers will be competing in Moultrie for a spot in the national championships.
