Grand Jury indicts 2 Albany women for murder

Two Albany women are indicted for murder in separate cases.

Grand jurors indicted Tiffley Malone for Malice and Felony murder, aggravated assault, and making false statements.

Prosecutors say March 7th she shot her boyfriend, David Thomas, in the head then told police three men had come into Thomas's home and shot him.

Dougherty D.A. Greg Edwards said "As police continued their investigation and made a determination that this was a false statement.  And Tiffley Malone is charged with the homicide of David Thomas as a result of further investigation."

Also indicted for murder was Sophilia Willis.

Prosecutors say she shot and killed Reco Moore on March 8th at the home of Moore's brother.

Willis' friends claims the gun went off accidentally when she grabbed it out of the waistband of Moore's pants.
