At least three cars at a West Dougherty County apartment complex were broken into and ransacked Wednesday.
Dougherty County Police say the crooks actually broke windows of the cars at Wood Pine Way Apartments, which is unusual.
They smashed the window on Marcus Ard's Impala and stole his gun and wallet.
"You try not to put everyone as a suspect," said Ard. "But you wouldn't think it would happen to you, because you don't mess with nobody. But it happens to everyone."
Ard estimates it will cost $500 to fix his window, but he is most concerned that he could be an identity theft victim since the crooks now have all his identification.
