ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Lee County High Wrestling Team is making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.
This year they volunteered as "Buddies" for the Lee County Challenger League: helping players during games and practices.
They even spent time teaching the kids some wrestling moves.
The wrestlers said they enjoyed making the players smile.
"They had a big smile on their face when we were helping them. It was just a good thing to be a part of," said Justin Favors, wrestler.
"It made me feel good. I was always told that if you do good, good will be done unto you. So it was great to help the kids who needed it," said Slater Cruz, wrestler.
Challenger League officials hope to add a kickball team, bowling and a day camp.
