ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany city leaders say there will be no tax increase with the upcoming new budget and they may have money for raises for city workers.
Right now, they're waiting for the results of a salary study.
Mayor Hubbard said customers may also get a break on their utility bills.
"One of the things that I think you all want to know is that we're going to have that solid waste and storm water fee lowered to the minimum that we think we can survive on," said Mayor Dorothy Hubbard Albany Mayor.
City Commissioners held the first of three public hearings on the proposed budget Tuesday.
They have to approve the new budget next month before it takes effect July 1st.
