ALBANY, GA (WALB) - City commissioners named Sharon Subadan as Albany's next City Manager.
The unanimous vote Tuesday secured her position as the city leader, pending a contract agreement.
The vote comes in the wake of a shaky recent past for Subadan.
According to a report, Subadan was demoted from her job as the Deputy County Administrator in Hillsborough County, Florida.
An audit showed a homeless recovery program she oversaw spent millions sending people to live in sub-standard properties that officials never inspected.
Subadan's demoted position was set to be eliminated on September 30, 2015, WFLA reported.
