ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Dougherty County man is arrested after firing a shot in the direction of his ex-girlfriend. Donnie Goodman, 41, is charged with reckless conduct.
Investigators say about one Sunday morning Rodesia Woodson, the mother of Goodman's 2 year old daughter, went to his Spurlock Street home where they argued over child custody.
Police say Goodman fired a pistol, hitting the steps of his home. Woodson said dirt and brick fragments struck her in the chest.
"According to our investigation, as of now, he did fire the weapon in her general direction. I guess you could say in here close proximity. Therefore he was arrested for reckless conduct," said Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick of Dougherty Co. Police.
Woodson was not injured. Goodman is being held in the Dougherty County Jail.
