Storms could be strong in parts of Georgia

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Parts of Georgia can expect strong storms as heavy rain moves into the state.

The National Weather Service says South Georgia can expect showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, but middle and north parts of Georgia could see strong wind gusts and frequent lightning.

Storms expected in Georgia are part of a larger system that caused major flooding and spawned tornadoes and killed at least eight people in Oklahoma and Texas, the Associated Press reported.
