ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Budget allocations have become severely limited, as a result of budget control act, and sequestration, according to our Congressional representative.
The Farm Bill has been funded and authorized. It is waiting for appropriations to provide resources to implement that.
Second District U.S. Congressman Sanford Bishop says this year will be challenging, as money has already been spent for defense, military construction, veterans affairs and interior.
"And it appears that the remaining bills will be very, very, very difficult to pass because the funding levels will be so severely short."
Bishop says if congress does not deal with under funding there is a possibility of a government shutdown.
