After nearly a year as Albany's top employee, Tom Berry is leaving.
Today was his last day as interim city manager. Berry says he's worked to make sure the right people are in the right places.
Phil Roberson will serve as the acting city manager until commissioners decide on a permanent replacement.
Commissioners are reviewing the finalists and could make an offer at their next meeting, Tuesday night. "I think the commission as a whole has gone through an excellent process. I think they're going to find the best person for this job. I don't have any doubts about that," said Berry.
Berry plans to move out west to spend time with his family.
He took over in July after James Taylor abruptly resigned.
