Albany man convicted of child molestation in second trial

A 63-year old Albany man is convicted of child molestation and drug possession in a second trial.

A Dougherty County jury found Leonard Lawson guilty on all charges Friday.

Last year a jury deadlocked.

Prosecutors say he molested a family member in 2009.  She reported it later.

Dougherty D.A. Greg Edwards said "Many people after some time come forward with information that relates to incidents.  Sometimes they are delayed reportings."

When he's sentenced, Lawson could get up to 80-years in prison.
