Jury selection continues in deputy beating federal trial

Jury selection in the federal trial of four South Georgia deputies continued for a second day in Albany.

Each of 82 potential jurors is being questioned individually.

Prosecutors say Former Grady County deputy Wiley Griffin the Fourth beat Ronnie Parrish at the Bainbridge Bike Fest three years ago.

Decatur County Captain Liz Croley, deputy Christopher Kines, and former deputy Robert Umbach are charged with making misleading statements to cover up the beating.

Judge Louis Sands warned jurors the selection process would be lengthy.
