Wild Adventures kicks off its Summer schedule

LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

Officials at Wild Adventures Theme Park in Lowndes County were excited Friday for what they hoped would be a busy Summer season.

As of Friday, the park was open seven days a week.

The park's PR Director, Laurie Windham, said Memorial Day weekend is always a very busy weekend for the park, which is something everyone at the park looks forward to.

"Memorial weekend really kind of kicks off our full operation, seven day operation. And of course, with it being Memorial weekend, we're able to honor our military. We invite them in free of charge. We have discounts for military family members and friends," Windham explained.

Saturday, Splash Island, the water park at Wild Adventures, was scheduled to start its Summer schedule, meaning it would be open seven days a week like the rest of the park until August 3rd.
