DOCO Credit Union continues to help south Georgia students

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - DOCO Credit Union handed out $6,000 in college scholarships on Thursday.

DOCO presented $1500 scholarships to Savannah Mullins and Neilliena Young of Westover High School and Abigail Simmons of Deerfield-Windsor School.

Colquitt County's Courtney Terrell, Mason Dominey of Lee County and Chelsey Jones of Bainbridge High School all won $500 scholarships.

The six students were selected from a field of more than 60 applicants who all had to write essays.

This is the 11th year DOCO Credit Union has awarded scholarships to area students.
