A Lee County middle school class may have found a great way to stand up against bullies.
Courtney Carter's 8th grade class all wore capes last week to support a fellow classmate who was bullied for wearing his to school.
"This is a way, instead of saying words and trying to tell somebody something, this is action." said 8th grader Madison Casey.
It is time for action and Madison and her classmates may have found one solution.
We think "Cape Day" should become an annual event at the Lee County Middle School east campus.
Who knows, maybe this gesture will spread to schools in South Georgia and across the nation.
And the cape may one day serve as a symbol to students and parents that bullying is wrong and will not be tolerated.
