Downtown Albany cameras up and running

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany city officials now tell us all 16 downtown surveillance cameras are working.

Late last week, workers with Motorola repaired three cameras that could have recorded images that may have helped investigators looking into a shooting near the Welcome Center that injured a man.

We still can't get a straight answer from city leaders on how long those cameras had been down.

Police tell us none of the surveillance cameras provided any helpful video because they either weren't working or were pointed in the wrong directions.
