ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany city commissioners are looking at re-designing part of a road because of parking problems. Alice Goseer-Jenkins, who lives on Delta Street, took her parking concerns to the commissioners Tuesday.
She says her family can't park in front of the house because trucks at a poultry business next door make wide turns and have hit cars.
She says it's a safety concern to park far away from the home.
"I'm just asking them for some solution that allows us to co-exist. My own house that we've owned for 60, 70 years, and this business which later moved in and had a curb placed there," said Alice Goseer-Jenkins.
"For somebody to just create this kind of inconvenience for two businesses that pay substantial taxes just doesn't make sense. It's illogical," said property owner Larry Sexton.
City leaders plan to look at the Delta Street design and look into removing the curbs next to the home. Larry Sexton says this would be a waste of taxpayer's money.
