AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Phoebe-Sumter Hospital says they're leading the pack, in a hospital beauty contest sponsored by Soliant Health.
The hospital said that after one week of voting in the Most Beautiful Hospital in the United States, Phoebe Sumter currently sits in the top spot.
Managers say they are only a quarter of the way to the finish line, and they expect other hospitals will ramp up their efforts to get out the vote for their local hospitals.
Anyone can vote until June 8, and there is no limit on how many times you can vote, so vote as much as you can on a daily basis.

Phoebe Sumter Medical Center opened in December 2011 after an F3 tornado destroyed the prior facility on March 1, 2007. The community was devastated by massive property damage.
The hospital functioned out of temporary facilities provided by FEMA/GEMA until the new building was completed. The community and local hospital authority partnered with Phoebe Putney Health System to design and build the new hospital and revitalize the community after the tragedy.
