TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
Customers got some old fashioned service at a Tifton gas station Friday.
Workers at this Enmark pumped gas, washed windows, and handed out coupons while collecting money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Houston Demere, Enmark Stations Vice President, said, “Folks here in Tifton are definitely willing to give to the cause. Great people here. Happy to be working with them."
Tonja Sellers, the daughter of a Leukemia survivor, said, “I would encourage anybody to come out to benefit any type of cancer. I mean, it's just so important for all the families that go through what they have to go through when they battle cancer.”
The company hopes to raise nearly $84,000 through Full Service Fridays at several stations in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
