CORDELE, GA (WALB) - The city of Cordele has a new smartphone app to help their citizens. The 311 app is just now rolling out for Apple and Android phones.
The app allows you to report problems in your neighborhoods, keep up with the latest news, and also find out dates of community events. The app is great for non-emergency calls that would slow down the 911 center.
"We want to know what's happening. If you have a concern, if there's something happening in your neighborhood that you want to know about or maybe you just have a concern or question, it's fine. Just call Cordele 311 and someone is there 24/7 to talk to you," said city marketing director Sarah Brown.
There will be a scavenger hunt through Cordele next month with prizes using that app, so Brown says that's another reason to download it.
