Two prominent Albany women honored Thursday

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia honor two Albany women as role models Thursday night.

Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard and retired Bank of America President and Realtor Patsy Martin were recognized at the Girl Scouts 2015 Albany Women of Distinction ceremony.

Mayor Hubbard credits her integrity and hard work to become a woman of distinction. Martin said it's great to be recognized as a role model for young girls.

“Now I am grateful for the recognition, but I accept the recognition actually on behalf of all of the people who support me and all of the things I'm trying to do,” said Mayor Dorothy Hubbard.

“And to be held up as a role model is not only a privilege but it is a real challenge to do the very best you can,” said Patsy Martin, Honoree.

Debra Capers President and Founder of Clearly Speaking by Debra, a public speaking and presentation skills training company was the keynote speaker.
