TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Lots of young people spent the morning at UGA in Tifton for their Ag and Environmental Awareness Day.
There was more than two dozen stations for kids to visit.
This group learned more about the different grasses that are developed at UGA's campus, including the turf that was used at the super bowl.
“They had a blast. I think they really enjoyed learning the fact that the work that is done here, they can play on it today, but then the professionals play on it on the weekends,” says Larry Baldree with UGA.
Kids also learned more about one of the more popular fishes in Georgia, catfish.
