FBI adds to reward to catch Peach Co. rapist

The FBI has now authorized a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the criminal who is breaking in and raping victims in Fort Valley and neighboring Peach County. This is in addition to a previously authorized reward of up to $2,500 being offered by law enforcement in Fort Valley and Peach County.

In early April, five homes were broken into, two women were raped, and three struggled with a suspect before he took off. Recently there was one attempted rape, one rape, and five break-ins all within three days.

No arrests have been made in these cases and investigators are trying to better determine whether just one person committed all of the crimes.

The Peach County Sexual Assault Task Force is made up of the Peach County Sheriff's Office, Fort Valley police, Fort Valley State University Campus Police, and the GBI.
