VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A popular concert series was back in Valdosta as of Tuesday.

Tuesday was the second day of the city's annual week long "Brown Bag" concert series, which is held to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month. From May 11th-15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a local band will be playing live music at the old courthouse downtown.

The event is free and you can bring your own food and drink or try something from one of several Valdosta restaurants that will be there as well.

"It's just to give back to the community, to say, 'hey, we appreciate you. Come downtown, see everything that's downtown here. Look at our beautiful old buildings and just enjoy the environment," said Valdosta Main Street Director Helen Hill.
