DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - School officials said renovations at Dougherty High School remain on track.
Monday night school board meeting officials approved some last minute construction changes to the school.
Crews added carpet at the doors, patched up the handicap ramp on the outside of the building and made some changes to a wall.
Officials said the project is almost complete.
"I would say by the end of July we'll be ready for the building to be complete. New furniture will be in and everything so we'll definitely be in time for the beginning of school," said Bob Fowler, DCSS Facilities Director.
The total cost of renovations was about 33 million dollars.
