ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some game developers toured Albany Technical College today to discuss a possible partnership with the school.

Officials with the Georgia Game Developers Association and Microsoft met with Albany Tech Computer Information Systems instructors and students to discuss tools they can use to make games.

They say more students are expressing interests in becoming game developers across the state.

There are currently 3 thousand game industry jobs in Georgia.

"Nobody expects and nobody knows where the next great hot game will come from,” said Andrew Greenberg, Executive Director for the Georgia Game Developers Association.” “There's no reason it can't come from Albany, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus where ever."

"I think it was a great opportunity for us as a company but also for the school to hopefully we'll do something together,” said Diego Lizarazo, Microsoft Technical Evangelist

The Georgia Game Developers Association already has partnerships with Georgia Piedmont, Georgia Tech and Georgia Gwinnett College.
