Victim identified in deadly Lee County incident

LEE CO., GA (WALB) - All seven people arrested in connection to the fight that turned deadly were charged in a Lee County court Monday afternoon.

Five adults and two juveniles were charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

The Assistant District Attorney said those charges could be upgraded to murder for some, pending the results of a medical examination.

Each person charged was given a $25,000 bond with several restrictions.

House arrest was one of those restrictions. Another stated that the person charged cannot contact the victim or anyone else who was charged in the case.

The Assistant District Attorney asked for all the bonds to be deferred for at least seven days.

Officials confirmed 50-year-old Kent Adam died, and his son, 22-year-old James Calvin Adam, was injured, after the massive fight broke out early Sunday morning in Lee County.

Investigators said as many as nine people were involved in the fight at Kent Adam's home at 781 Flowing Well Road.

All of the people involved were said to be friends. It was unclear what led to the fight.
