Making the best on Mother's Day while working

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Across the county people are celebrating Mother's Day and while some people spent the day off, other moms are working hard.

The Hilton Garden Inn is celebrating Mother's Day by hosting a brunch. Moms and their families walk in and they are greeted by Robin a woman with a big smile and personality.

Robin is a proud mother of five kids.

"I am just crazy about them,” said Robin Perry, Hilton employee.

Although Robin would love to celebrate with her kids and husband, this holiday doesn't slow her down.

."Bills still got to get paid darling,” continued Perry.

Employees said they love her infectious outgoing attitude and so does everyone who walks in the Hilton.

"Hello, how y'all doing good to see y'all again."

Robin has been in the service industry for 25 years. She also works at Red Lobster. Her husband and kids understand come this holiday or any other one at that she will be at work.

"So they know Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, any kind of big holiday graduation, Albany State just graduated, you going to have to be at work."

But just because Sunday is Mother's Day it doesn't stop her family from celebrating her.

“You can celebrate the next day and that's how I look at it."
