The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and The Lee County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a physical altercation leaves one person dead.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office said they received a call from Phoebe Putney Hospital around 3:38 a.m. Sunday about two people being injured.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office has determined that there was an argument between several people at 781 Flowing Road that led to a physical altercation. That's when the two people were injured.
One person died from their injuries. They refused treatment from emergency crews, according to Lee County Sheriff's Office.
"Some of them did wind up at the hospital but they didn't get the care that they needed," said Reggie Rechals, Lee County Sheriff.
The condition of the second person is not known at this time.
Investigators are interviewing several persons of interest in the investigation.
