GRADY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Hundreds of antique cars will be on display at Saturday's Great Southern Antique Car Rally in Cairo.
Irving Young drives close to 200 miles from Hampton, Florida every year to come to the show.
This year, he brought his 1938 Pontiac which sold new for $900.
He said he spent thousands more than that to upgrade it with brand new features.
Young said, “There's nothing stock about it. It's for comfort. It has air conditioning, power steering, anti-lock brakes. That set of tires cost more than this car cost new.”
This "inferno red" Pontiac along with hundreds of other cars will be on display Saturday at Millsaps Training Facility.
The parade and barbeque starts Friday night at 6 at the Grady Cultural Center.
Tickets are available at the door.
