ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany church is praising law enforcement for the return of almost all their property stolen in a burglary last month, while the search for the suspected burglar continues.

The Greater Cutliff Grove Baptist Church van is being cleaned, after it was recovered in a swampy area of Terrell County Thursday.

The van, two 55 inch plasma TV's, and other electronics were stolen during a burglary April 9th. All the stolen property except one of the TV's was inside the van.

Church officials thanked the Terrell County Sheriff's Office and Albany Police.

"For all those involved, we're just grateful that God has blessed us to get our van back, so we can do the work that He intended for the van to do for the church," said Soloman Sanders.

Albany Police are still looking for 50 year old Herman Easley, Jr., after issuing arrest warrants for burglary and theft by taking in connection with the church burglary.
