NAYLOR, GA (WALB) -

Officials are asking for the public's help to find a man they say robbed an employee at gunpoint in the store parking lot.

Lowndes County deputies said the armed robbery happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday at a Dollar General store on U.S. Hwy. 84.

According to a report, the suspect walked up to the employee while she was sitting in her car on her break, pointed a gun at her, and demanded money. When she told the man she didn't have any money, he left and drove off.

On April 4th, two black men were caught on camera robbing two employees at gunpoint inside the store as the employees were closing up for the night.

"One of the things that we have done is actually make sure we keep a patrol unit out in that area," explained Lowndes County Sheriff's Office Lt. Stryde Jones. "There was actually a deputy there in less than two minutes. He happened to be ridin' around."

Investigators are searching for the suspect, described as a white man, between 5'10 and 6 feet tall, and weighing between 160-200 pounds. They also said he was bald or had a close haircut, and had a gap in his front teeth.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office at (229) 671-2950 or anonymous tips can be provided at (229) 671-2985 or online at www.lowndessheriff.com.
