Albany brain damage case goes to state's high court

ATLANTA, GA (WALB) -

The state supreme court will hear the case of parents suing Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after their child suffered brain damage

6-month old Keira Pech was treated at the Phoebe emergency room for a bump on her head and was sent home.

Three days she returned by ambulance suffering from bleeding and swelling in her brain. She suffered permanent damage

“Any case that makes it to the supreme court is a difficult case by nature, with good lawyers on both sides arguing their positions. So we feel strongly about it, we think its an important issue, and we feel as though we will come out on the right side,” says Attorney Paul Phillips.

We reached out to the doctor's attorney by phone and email, and he has not returned our calls.
