DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Wiregrass Georgia Technical College broke ground for a new building on the campus Tuesday.
The building will also house the campus library, student center, and bookstore. With the new building expansion Wiregrass will be able to increase their enrollment and better serve the community it serves, through workforce development.
The new building is slated to open fall of 2016.
The new building will be the future home to 749 students and the allied health and public safety programs.
"We couldn't be more thrilled than to provide a new state of the art building for our students in Coffee County and surrounding communities. This new building has been in the making for many years thanks to former Wiregrass Presidents and our great supporters in the community and legislatures." said Wiregrass President Dr. Tina K. Anderson.
