ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is helping some South Georgia students get their minds and bodies in shape.
Phoebe hosted a "GoNoodle.com Night" at Turner Elementary School.
It provides online games and videos for students that include 2 to 15-minutes of stretching running, dancing, and deep breathing exercises.
Phoebe officials believe it helps students focus better in class.
"All these games fit in the classroom so they can actually exercise by their desk to get brain breaks which we all need. I know I sometimes have a hard time focusing and I just need to go for a walk, but with them they can actually sit there and do dance moves or different things by their desk from the website," said Eddie McBride Phoebe Outreach Coordinator
GoNoodle is sponsored by Phoebe and gives a thousand teachers free access to the website in 16 counties.
