ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There is still time for folks who do not have health insurance to enroll under the affordable care act. A special open enrollment deadline is Thursday night at midnight.
Albany area primary healthcare has three licensed navigators to help people and their families enroll in the health insurance market place.
People can call with questions or make an appointment to meet with a navigator to help with the process.
"There is a penalty if you do not enroll. That penalty is $325 per adult and $162 and 50 cents per child. Or 2% of your annual household income," said Clifton Bush.
If you do not enroll the penalty will be taken out of your tax return at the end of the year.
