Americus man arrested for hitting baby's mother

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Americus Police were called to a domestic situation at Magnolia Court Apartments Tuesday night, and were told that Quincy Bernard Daniels, 21, broke into the apartment of the mother of his child, Ashleigh Kiana Myrick.

They say Daniels, whop had been barred from the apartments previously, struck Myrick while she was holding their infant child, and would not let her leave the apartment.

Myrick did get out with the baby, and ran to another apartment and called the police.

Daniels left, but was arrested a short while later at his home on Winn Street, and was taken directly to the Sumter County Jail.

He is charged with burglary, battery- domestic violence, third degree cruelty to children, criminal trespass, false imprisonment, and two counts of obstruction.
