ALBANY, GA (WALB) - After listening to input from business owners Albany City Commissioners Monday approved changes to the sign ordinance.
Electronic messaging signs can now change every 20-seconds instead of every minute.
Commissioner Roger Marietta said it's more business friendly.
" 20 seconds is something that will allow the owner of the sign the business to advertise more effectively and hopefully give them an edge in creating more profit and maybe more jobs," said Roger Marietta, Albany Commissioner.
A total of 100 electronic message signs will now be allowed in the city up from 75.
